The MycoKey CD You may know the genera But do you also recognize 
You can now buy the MycoKey CD with (almost) all genera
of the Basidiomycota from northern Europe and get your identifications
right (see MycoKeys pictures of the above mentioned specialities here).
MycoKey 1.0 is a synoptical key to 528 genera of Basidiomycota [see genus list here]. Searches are performed through more than 120 fully illustrated search layouts with check boxes and pop up menus [see examples of the MycoKey search layouts here]. MycoKey includes more than 2000 colour photographs of representative species, more than 5000 references, descriptions, informations on generic type, authors, synonyms and the number of species in the area [see examples of some full search result layouts here]. MycoKey contains an easy and a full version. The easy version gives the un experienced mushroom collector a soft start with the most common genera and rather easy characters. It is well suited for children from 10 years and up. The full version serves the advanced student and the professional mycologist with the full character set of more than one thousand characters, lots of illustrations and lots of references to revisions, fungas, keys, etc. The MycoKey CD is a all-in-one package which contains both the Mac and Windows easy and full versions in both English and Danish.
System requirements: It runs much faster if copied to the hard drive (350 Mb). CD installation problems and solutions.
