MycoKey : the genus Velutarina

Generic short diagnoses: Fairly tough, olive to brown or blackish, inoperculate discomycetes on wood and woody stems, with fairly large, ellipsoid, at maturity brown, non-septate spores.


Species example:


Velutarina rufoolivacea - ascus, ascus bases, paraphyses, ascus tops† (lugol), spores (isome germinating)
