MycoKey : the species Pholiota squarrosa

Generic short diagnoses: Typically rather fleshy to very fleshy, brown-spored, often lignicolous agarics with more or less evident scales on more or less slimy pileus and sometimes stipe; spores thick-walled, with, rarely without germ pore, with or without chrysocystidia.
