MycoKey : the species Krieglsteinera lasiosphaeriae

Generic short diagnoses: An odd-ball gelly-fungus producing glassy ’hairs’ from perithecia of Lasiosphaeria ovina; the hairs – medianly septate and clamped, terminate in a cluster of auricularioid basidia, that produce sessile spores that repeat and congregate in a slime-ball.
