MycoKey : the genus Hysteronaevia

Generic short diagnoses: Small, greyish, brown or blackish, inoperculate discomycetes on monocots, erumpent through a slit or by lifting a lid, 0-1-septate spores, a brown excipulum and in some species thin-walled, ± septate hairs.
