MycoKey : the genus Flammulaster

Generic short diagnoses: Tiny to small, pale brown to rusty brown-spored, saprobic agarics with a more or less pronounced felty or scaly covering on pileus and stipe; spores smooth, thick-walled with or without a germ pore; thin-walled cheilocystidia present and pileipellis is a paraderm or a konioderm with ± encrusting pigments.
