MycoKey : the genus Collybia

Generic short diagnoses: Tiny, mycenoid, white spored agarics with silky pilei and stipes; often springing from sclerotia formed on or within rotten fruitbodies of various fungi (e.g. polypores such as Meripilus, species of Lactarius etc).


Species example:


Collybia cirrhata - DK: silke-fladhat UK: Piggyback Shanklet - young fruit-bodies on decayed Lactarius deterrimus (?)
