MycoKey : the species Chlorophyllum brunneum

Generic short diagnoses: Elegant, large, mostly umbonate, fleshy, more or less squamulose, white-, pinkish- or green-spored saprobic agarics with free lamellae and reddening context or secotioid in xeric environments. Agaricoid taxa: Stipe smooth and often bulbous; complex loose annulus present; spores with germ pore, thick-walled, hyaline to brown and dextrinoid.
