Roland Thaxter

1858-1932

 

  Thaxter was studying the North American species of the Loboulbeniales.
His major works is "Contributions towards a monograph of the Laboulbeniaceae" (published from 1896 to 1931 in Mem. Am. Acad. Arts Sci. 12-16) featuring a number of unique illustrations of the tiny fruitbodies of the Laboulbeniales.
